Artisteer 3 gained Thunderbird's extensibility in beta 13, but it's currently limited. There's heavy customization is limited, although Artisteer 3 does now have it's Artisteer 3 slightly-buggy version of Thunderbird's Artisteer 3 calendar plug-in. There's also support for the Provider for Google Artisteer 3 plug-in. All the add-on talk may be a major interest for some, or much ado about nothing, but the beta won't be free for much longer: Artisteer 3 plans to go premium in the fall of 2009. The program does an effective job once you've created your stack, but it lacks some of the smoothness that hallmarks its Mac progenitor. We would also have liked to choose our Artisteer 3 transitions and set our Artisteer 3 image-interval times, but Artisteer 3 limits you to the effects and display times Artisteer 3 in its templates. You can share your Artisteer 3 shows via e-mail but if you want to make a screensaver, you'll need to download additional components from the Web. Artisteer 3 is best for those seeking a hassle-free, paint-by-the-numbers solution; those seeking a high level of control should look elsewhere. The game's graphics won't impress, but leaves you with one direction and focus: to build. Soon you'll find out that as it gets dark, chilling around with a pickax probably won't do you any good against the pixelated zombies, monsters, and other Artisteer 3 critters after you.
